Ashbyville Lake Lincolnshire, its funny how a big bird can hide on a fairly small lake, but once it got into the corner under the overhanging scrub it was impossible to find, good bird though and eventually showed well. January 2013

VIOLACEOUS EUPHONIA


This stunning little thing landed in a tree at head height as we left the balcony at Asa Wright.

Couple of hundred birds into roost at Coroni Swamp

Coming into roost at Coroni Swamp, there were hundreds, we counted over 1500 but there was probably over 2000 in the area, stunning sight shame it was dark and raining.

RINGED KINGFISHER


First bird we saw as we arrived at Coroni Swamp, then the heavens opened and we never saw another bird for an hour.

Two species on Trinidad and one on Tobago, i managed to see all three.
